The islands luxury hotel chain Marco has opened a new location in the seaside resort town of St Thomas in the Republic of Ireland, the company announced on Thursday.
The new hotel will open next year, according to the company’s Facebook page.
Marco, a unit of British retail giant Tesco, will offer its popular seaside properties, which include Marco island, in a new “casual” hotel, which is also known as a “starboard hotel” or “tourist centre”.
The new Marco Hotel will be opened to the public in June 2019.
The hotel will offer a range of luxury hotel amenities including its own pool and gym, as well as a spa, sauna, gym, gymnasium, saunas, restaurant, bar and nightclub.
It will offer five star restaurant facilities, three Michelin stars, an Alinea star, and a “Top Chef” Michelin star.
Marcos hotel, the first of its kind in the UK, has been operating in the Irish seaside town since June 2018.
In October, it opened its first hotel in the US, the Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida.
Marco had previously opened its doors to the general public in France, Austria, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
Its first Irish location, Marco Isle Hotel, opened in March 2019.
