Man dies after ‘helicopter death’ at hazbin hotels

A man has died after falling from a rooftop balcony at a Halifax hotel, Halifax Regional Police said Thursday.

The incident happened in the hotel’s lobby area just before 11 p.m. on Thursday.

Police said a man fell from the roof of the building.

A witness said he heard a loud bang.

Police did not immediately release a cause of death.

Halifax Regional Fire Chief Greg O’Brien said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police and fire crews were called to the hotel.

The hotel has been closed since the incident.

Police were asking anyone with information about the incident to contact police.
